Once you have locked in your booking with us, all you have to worry about is arriving on the day and enjoying the event.
We will organise drop off and collection time of the lolly buffet directly with venue. We provide a centrepiece to your lolly buffet that works with your venue theme and individual lolly bags/ boxes for your guests to take away with them.

Kids' Birthdays
I attended a wedding in February that was a classy, quite posh gathering really. The decorations were amazing and the food was the best I have ever had! What made it different was when we arrived at the reception centre, a box was at our seat and we were informed that guests were welcome to fill their box with a mix of their favourite sweets, instead of the traditional Bonbonniere. I haven't seen a lolly buffet before and I thought what a novel idea. I could not believe it when I saw people heading down to the display to grab a few treats, prior to the main course! Everyone took their Bonbonniere box of lollies home with them and at the end of the night, there was next to no lollies left, it was a real hit!
Both my husband Zhenya and I, wanted to have a baby shower that we memorable, for our first child Max. An event that I could sit back and relax and have everything set up and run perfectly. I asked Mel from Mel's Sweet Occasions to produce a baby shower theme for me and as you can see from the photos, it was spectacular! Everyone loved it, it was exactly the colour, style and look I wanted and at the end of the baby shower, my friends would not leave unless they got to take a bag of Lollies with them, it was perfect!
A friend of mine had a three year olds birthday party recently. They had tractor rides, face painting, games and a water slide but the thing that was the biggest hit for the day was the "Pirate Themed" Lolly Buffet for the kids. In stead of the usual handing out of bags of lollies at the end of a kid's party ass they are heading off, this was really different. It was put out after the games were played and the kids got to fill their box with the toys, lollies and balloons they wanted. Everything was safe and they had lots of fun putting it together, well done Mel.
We have many functions throughout the year for our clients and our staff. Being able to have set up a themed lolly buffet is different, edgy, fun and memorable. We have used the Christmas Theme for our clients and could quite easily use Mel's Sweet Occasions for; St Patricks Day, Staff Christmas Party, Workshop events, Fancy Dress Party, Fund raising events, Annual Awards Function, Reward and recognition events. How many weddings have you been to where you arrive at the dinner table at the reception and everyone looks around at each other and then has a little laugh at the bonbonniere that are placed in front of them.
Lets be honest, at best you want people to at least enjoy your gift at worst, you don't want them to laugh at them and either leave them on the table when they go home or throw them straight in the bin when they get home.
That's why we came up with Mel's Sweet Occasions...
I decided that I did not wont the 'out dated' bonbonniere thing to happen at my wedding!
I didn't want the sugar coated almonds, or the other junky knick knacks, not at my wedding I wanted something indulgent, classy and fun!
I envisaged that people would grab their lolly box at the end of the night and as they were leaving, stroll past the lolly buffet, enjoy a few treats on the way out and I would be happy.
What happened, exceeded my expectations on the desire of wedding guests for a well prepared and indulgent lolly buffet!
Even before the entree's were finished, guests were sampling a few lollies from the display. They went back and had their main, came back and sampled a few more and then after their deserts, came in their droves to fill their bonbonniere box with exactly the treats they had researched and were after.
We were told by guests that the meal that night was the best they had ever had at a wedding and yet they still had enough room to fill their box, empty the lolly display table from nearly every sweet we had put out, wee were amazed and so happy!
Our guests raved about our wedding and we were getting complements 2 and 3 months later, it was fantastic!
